I hate those so much. Sadly there are tons of those, and people are fooled. I have seen it for hallmark also.

*histerical laughter* I'm sure they'll take care of it right away. They have a very technical layout for it:
1. Send out a message making people think you're actually going to do something about it (which usually says it's been forwarded to the so and so department to be analyzed or some other BS).
2. Send the mail to an infinite loop cycle which never does anything OR delete it.

This guy opened an account with us and tried to send out spam emails. Seems to be a 'spam-specialist' that uses other people's credit cards to purchase products online.

For something unique ...here are some pictures of him:
http://home.dal.net/nude-helper/ (there is no nudity).

If you can't find the URL, let me know ...i got them all saved ;)

Good old .bash_history :D

eerrrr....real dumb question...how does one look into the ".bash_history" history of a site?

 :o

If you have root access to a server, you basically go into /home/username (replace 'username' with the account's username and then execute this command:

'pico .bash_history'

That should show you the list of shell commands that the user has executed.

Poor people. If you want to get something done, email the host. It seems to be eHost.

Even if people don't know how to check the file source, what about the url on the address bar:
https://eweb13.ehost.com/~aol-inst/index.html

They believe this is from AOL?

Of course, that only works if they're using bash. If they might be using other shells, try 'more ~username/.*hist*' ... and if you have process accounting running then 'sa -iu | grep `id -u username`' is always good.

On the pics, what is he trying to show us?
The stuff he stole from using other people's credit cards?
Or what he just got from christmas?

I would like to see a picture of him in jail :)

Looking at the file names ...i think stuff he bought with other people's credit cards. Just FYI, he's located in Macedonia.

You are right... it was pretty slow when I was using Dial-up access.

But now I am FREE!!! I have my lovely cable modem...I don't want to debate on why cable modem is good or bad. :) So have a nice day!
