Hi CDGCommerce!

(This is regarding the promo on the bottom of the post)

How long does the WHT promo lasts? Are the rates the same even if the promo is finished? (What are the usual rates, I couldn't find them on the website)

On the promo, it says free Authorize.net or CDG Commerce gateway setup, whatabout the other gateways? Are they free? If not, what are the rates. (Where can I find them?)

I sent an email to sales@cdgcommerce yesterday and have failed to get a response.

Thanks,

dfa_geko

To answer your specific questions on this... the rates and program we list are the actual rates that will apply on accounts submitted through that promotion - regardless of whether the WHT Promo is still offered in future months.

The only time that there would be increase in any rates would be in the case of an industry-wide Visa/MasterCard interchange adjustment. And even during the last time this happened, we absorbed part of the increases and passed through only a portion.

Regarding the gateways - we are offering Free Setups specifically for Authorize.Net, CDGGateway and Plug 'n' Pay. The monthly gateway fee is currently the same for all three options.

The merchant account rates themselves do not differ based upon the gateway selected as these are two separate line items.

Lastly... you mentioned you had sent us an e-mail, can you let me know from what address? I checked with our sales team and no one could find anything for you.

Mods: as always, please feel free to edit/remove any of my post here. I am responding only to the questions asked here but just want to make sure it is not in violation of any of the forum TOS.
Thanks. :)

I'm a little confused.

Does CDG offer 3rd party or do they offer merchant accounts?

I do < $1000 and we're in the US and need something new since paysystems went belly up. We don't want to accept CCs ourself, we'd rather go with 3rd party. But those options don't look too promising.

Thanks for any help.

CDG offers merchant accounts. If you're looking for 3rd party payment processors you might want to take a look at 2checkout or maybe PayPal. You can find a lot of posts about both, each with their own horror stories and praise.

To answer your question, CDGcommerce provides true, bonafide merchant accounts.

That means, as with any direct merchant account, you have your own merchant account # which is registered and backed by an FDIC-insured financial institution and regulated by the operating rules of the Card Associations (Visa/MasterCard).

I don't really like any of those options, so I've gone ahead and signed up. Damn you paysystems! :)
