Ok...after 6 months, here is our review of Linux Network care (LNC).

We have 5 servers with them now.

We started off with a bang - moving servers from one DC to another and from Ensim to CPanel with thousands of email accounts and hundreds of domains. Not an easy task, but add to that it was also an ISP customer with DNS hosting, etc. - it was a potential nightmare. There were a few bumps in the road, as can be expected, mostly due to DNS issues, but all-in-all, LNC did an excellent job moving the servers.

LNC has been fairly quick to secure/setup our new boxes and has been extremely responsive to all related support requests. These guys live online (who doesn't, eh?), and have always been fast to respond to emergencies, etc. - most requests are handled within an hour. There are times when they do get a bit behind, but Sutha is bringing on more help and has some pretty competent support already on board. As stated, priority issues have always been handled quickly.

LNC seems to know their stuff and are aggressive about learning as needed, never had any issues with that. Also, they have definitetly gone the extra mile. Sutha has often installed apps and done special work, without any extra charge.

They also have been proactive about support and Sutha has an excellent system that will soon be available - ties all of the monitoring and reporting tools into one interface for all of our servers - it is a huge benefit for us.

One area they are working to improve is in general organization. Early on things seemed a bit hectic. But they just moved to a new office in the Toronto area and things seem to be getting much better. Sutha also seems to be pretty well connected and has some good resources when needed.

In conclusion, as in any relationship there are some bumps in the road and while we have had a few, they have been minor. LNC has been an excellent partner for us and we will happily continue this relationship and give them any new servers that we bring on.

LNC - is good choice if you need a competent server management company.

Please note - we are not getting any kick-backs for this post - so don't even go there ;)
Just sharing our experience for those who are looking for a server management company.

We happily pay them each month for their service - in fact we pay more than their standard rates, by choice - its worth it.

We've been using LNC for well over 6months now, started off with a "simple" job of moving us over to a new server and we took it from there for a monthly contract.

Very nice people to deal with and usually pretty quick with tickets.

I've been with LNC for about a year now. I pay $80 / server for server management and I must say that I get a lot of service for that. Sutha seems to always be online and his staff is happy to install extras upon request without charge.

We used them for a quick Tomcat install and to lay down the groundwork for security. We had a good idea of what we needed/wanted and they went far above our needs. Overall, I have to add my recommendations - they are definitely on top of things.
