Right im looking for a cp which has reseller capabilities.

So it should have a main admin interface for myself

For a RAQ4 I don't know if you have much choice. You could of course wipe it clean and install a new Linux distruibution and after than Plesk/CPanel etc.

The thing is ( and I have tried myself to insert some reseller stuff to my own Cobalt CP Extention ) that to add reseller capabilities would most probably mean wrecking your RAQ warranty. In short you would need to modify /etc/groups to enable a reseller to get access to their clients site.

hmm. so there isn't a control panel that lets reseller's create new accounts at the moment?? How does everyone do it then? I'm sure I've seen ppl advertisign such a feature.

There are a few options for the Cobalt, you can have a version of PLESKinstalled and you dont loose your Cobalt GUI, and there is also someone whos posted on the forum before that mentioned something about a custom panel that he was devloping, dont member the name right now thoug. Its not really worth is with the cost of the Cobalt so low, and you have to pay another $1000 for the PLESK + install fees.

The windows 2000 control panel "hosting Controller" is soon to be released on Linux. I am using it on Win at it works very well, looking forward to the new version which comes out at the end of the month. It has many features and the new version also has opensrs built in, resller set up, automatic billing for upgrades / extras have a look in their forum the website is hostingcontroller.com

Have you heard any word from them that RAQ:s are being supported? Cause the thing is the RAQ is pretty special which makes it virtually impossible to install CPanel or any 'standard' Linux CP.

like the shadm cp it uses shell actions (i believe) to write to the server in the same way the raq panel does.

I love that CP. I have yet to get installed on my Raq but Im deffinatly going to use it.

I am the developer of shadm. You know the new rules in these forums - allowing only one url in the sig, currently I am promoting my windows hosting instead of shadm here.

And actually one of my goals when I started coding shadm was to implement reseller support. However I wanted it to work like this:

- Reseller have FULL control over all their clients. That means they chould be able to FTP/SSH into their accounts as well as open their control panels to help them add email accunts etc.

I got it working but I had to make changes to /etc/groups etc and I felt like now I am stepping over the line with regards to unsupported modifications of the RAQ.

Lately I have kinda changed my mind and will in a month time or so actually implement it.
