View Full Version : $99 a year reseller hosting???
clevohost 07-30-2004, 12:30 PM Hello,
Anyone know anything about this host? I was thinking of picking up a spare reseller account and I wonder if this place has any history.
I get leary when I see offers for a full year or lifetime because it could be a scam to get peoples money then dump the biz and just bankrupt and never deliever the goods or cash back.

Thanks alot,
clevo
SubReseller 07-30-2004, 12:37 PM personally, i have never heard of them but perhaps someone else may be able to give you some more insight
a host that offers "lifetime" does not seem repertable to me

By that same thought does a company that offers unlimited bandwidth get classified as un-reputable? I am kind of tired of people saying that. We offer unlimited bandwidth and stand by it. We have people playing music videos and songs and such and we do not limit them, charge them or cancel them. We just eat it on those. It all averages out in the end.

Who's we? I'm looking for a new reseller provider and this sounds enticing!
The Kid 07-30-2004, 05:59 PM genekurtz ur so off topic... lol
Rob T 07-30-2004, 08:35 PM The resources they are offering don't look out of line for that kind of pricing, so you would probably be ok taking that offer. You might want to find out where they are hosted and do a little due dilligence before commiting yourself for a year, especially if $99 is a significant amount of money for you. Another plan might be to check and see if they would allow you to sign up for a month at their regular monthly rate and then convert to the $99 per year rate once you decide you like it. I think there are lots of options you might not have looked at to put your money less at risk.
genekurtz 07-30-2004, 10:15 PM I am not off topic by commenting on people that say because they offer something that should be considered good they are not reputable. That gets so old after awhile.
Nice commentary Rob T...
That is how it SHOULD be done. Valuable advice.
I got ripped buying a full year like that also :( But they look like a good company. Great design anyhow
MadCow 07-31-2004, 01:14 AM I also have not herd of them but you are paying $.33/GB of transfer for a year. That is not much of a break I dont think.
If you are paying annually I would expect a better price break.
Also, no forums. I know not everyone has them but I think they say something about the company. They let the problems and complements out in the open. You can tell a lot about a company if you read up on their forums.
Good luck with them if you try them!

I just hope that slashdot doesnt decide to mirror with you.. lol.
HostSide 07-31-2004, 09:34 PM I would not pay for an entire year - well not until you've personally experienced them for a couple of months. In so many cases, people have had such good experiences and such bad experiences with the same hosts.
Pay monthly, see for yourself first.
WebzPro 07-31-2004, 09:48 PM You might want to look at what version of cPanel/WHM is demo'd. I did. But for what they are offering you you really can't say they are trying to up the price on you.
paonza 01-10-2005, 09:30 AM I join ivhosting 99$ plan I'm very happy about it!
I run more the 10 big site on this account and they run very good!
This is the server configuation and the version of whm/cpanel.
I write for some issue to support and they answer me quicly and good.
good service!

SydneyJen 01-10-2005, 02:13 PM They spelled reseller wrong in one place on their homepage.
:o
nu-host 01-10-2005, 04:43 PM I would go and look for somehting that you can pay monthly for. Its just a safe gurad really becasue if they turn out to be bad then you can just leave.
Look around of web hosting review sites to see if anyones posted anything about them.

That harddrive is pretty much full. Only 6.5G of free space left. That is not a very good sign.
ridesign 03-31-2005, 02:23 PM I have been with them for a year and their server has been very slow espicially the phpmyadmin, also it stops working sometimes also the owner never accepts that the server was down he resets it and says it was never down.
Also he isn't willing to give refunds or compensate for the problems.
He says everyone was has servers downtime yes, but not for 6 hours a day.
All in all, it is okay for a hobby site but for business i would recommend him
thanks

Look at that kernel they're running as well. 2.6.6. That's like saying "Hello, Exploit me next please."
DeMenkey 03-31-2005, 07:48 PM Well, I bought mine from jnethosting.org (Or was it .net/.com? I forgot)
Anyways, So far everything is peachy, but my host, he went on a trip to another state, and I've not seen him for about a week or two. But when I sent in my 70 bucks using paypals, he MSN'd me within 3 minutes. So he wanted the money, but I've yet to be able to get in contact with him. I dunno if it's a scam or what. Hopefully not. lol

That design is a template. They edited it poorly however.
