I am in the process of offering a bunch of low cost hosting accounts to people. One of the conditions to get the price is they must let me insert a text link saying
This Web Site is Hosted by xxxxx (named x'd out by me)

I need a script that will run nightly check for the code and insert the code if it is not present.

Does anyone know of such a script?

A much better approach would be inserting the footer automatically by your Apache server. Take a look at mod_layout at http://software.tangent.org/projects.pl.
