I would like setting up a streaming server for some radio and i would offer windows mediaplayer and real format audio...

I 've seen Helix software but it is too expensive...

Can you tell me some software or some way to manage this service ?

This is the service:

Radio -> signal encoding -> ADSL -> my server -> many client

I would like manage with a linux server but there are no problem for a windows ...

One server should manage many radio ...

I guess go with Windows Media Services (using Windows platform) and offer asf/wmv streaming... Windows Media Services come free with server OS...

And how do you manage bandwith politics ?

I need a software that manage number of usage for single radio...
