im getting some hyper-newbies customers that doesnt know how to use ftp. Is there any freeware app with easy interface so customers can upload their images/htmls to the webserver in that way instead of using a complicated ftp client?

You could try and install a file manager kind of a software for the clients.
These are easy to use and simple to install.. mostly it would be just one file...

i think that is the correct syntax.

works in most browsers i believe. They can then drag and drop.
