Max Media Manager is an open source ad server based on phpAdsNew,
enhanced for performance, with many new features, and restructured
for expansion.
Max Media Manager version 0.1-beta10 was just released.
Max is the phpAdsNew v2.1-alpha code five or six beta versions later.
Substantial performance enhancements, new features, and bug-fixes.

New features added in beta 10 are:
- Update from phpAdsNew to Max, instructions and SQL code added
- Updated installation instructions
- Changed the URL field in the banners table to type 'text', so that it can accept more than 255 characters
- Tracker variables can now be appended to the tracker image beacon
- Stats are cached - HUGE performance boost
- Stats can now be viewed by 'easy to understand' date ranges
- Stats rewritten to get ready for new look and feel
- Disabled PHP warnings by default to make life easier for non-developers

Max Media Manager
Enterprise Online Marketing Suite - Servers, Tools, and Tracking
Max Media Manager is an open source ad server based on phpAdsNew,
enhanced for performance, with many new features, and restructured
for expansion. New features include agency support, rich media ads,
conversion tracking, third-party ad tracking, and optimization and
restructuring for a high-volume multi-server environment.
Planned additional modules include: Search Engine Keyword Marketing,
Email Marketing, Affiliate Management, and Conversion Tracking.
Third-party ad tracking includes: DoubleClick, ValueClick, Bluestreak,
Mediaplex, Atlas, Eyeblaster, Tango Zebra.
Max Media Manager is written in PHP and uses MySQL as the database.
A database abstraction layer is being added (PEAR:DB) which will allow
the use of other databases. PEAR:DB currently supports: FrontBase,
InterBase, Informix, Mini SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle,
ODBC (any ODBC compliant database), PostgreSQL, and Sybase.
Version 0.2 will include:
- support for multiple user types
- new interface
- modular structure (to be able to plug-in additional modules)
