Sorry, I haven't had time to go through all of the previous posts, but I'm looking for the cheapest registrar out there that is reliable ...as I'm sure everyone is. I currently use godaddy.com and it has been great. Only thing is they are now 8.95 a year and I know there are a lot of places better. I read the previous quote but peoples opinions seemed to keep going back and forth.
I have looked at ev1servers and they offer domains for 6.49 which seems like a great deal. I have a friend who uses them and has had a great experience.
What are you opinions on the best domain registrar for the price?
Thanks!

6.49 at ev1 is just as great at that price!!!
OR 8.88 for NameCheap who is currently giving WhoisGuard FOC!!

You can get domains for as low as 5.99(oneandone) but many of the services you get at 8.95 will probably not be included. So if you are just looking for a basic domain name and NO services there are a few cheap alternatives.

domainsite.com also at 6.99
it depends on what kind of account you want reseller or retail, for retail there is so many loss leaders selling below cost at $4 $5 $6 etc..

I have several domains now and would like to switch if I found something cheaper. I am a web host myself so I do not need any extra features. Just as long as I can rely on their services and just use my name servers.

if you are a webhost i'd say go for reseller program to have more control and give your cystomers better access to their domains
for example with enom reseller account you can give your customers something like http://access.enom.com to control their domains and change contact info etc..

What do you think about their services and pricing? Normally with the domains I just take care of it myself but it would be nice if customers could use it. Can I customize that site with my logo, or would they know they are going through enom. Also, what is the reseller pricing like? Any membership fees?

maybe you may try OnlineNIC, unmatchable reseller price---$6.69, even lower......, smart and neat domain registration and management system, customized reseller program: template/API with your own brand and logo, your customer will not know any of OnlineNIC's info; no member fee or any other hiden fee...

Thanks for the info. I've tried out ev1servers.net
They have worked good so far... I like godaddys member section way better though.
Ev1 seems a little cheap so it just makes you more cautious...but they do offer excellent pricing.

ev1server is mainly for retail clients. If you are looking for reseller solution try enom or directi
