Hello all,

I started a webhosting company many months ago, and have everything in place including some customers, but just cannot afford to spend any more time with it. The truth is that I found a job that is paying me quite well.

What I'm looking for is a partner that has a lot of spare time to dedicate to this. Responsibilities will include:
- updating and securing the system
- tech support help
- acquiring new customers
- building online community

I'm looking for a mature (25+) administrator that has had some real experience at some other webhosting company. Person *MUST* be located in Western Canada and/or United States, no exceptions.

I'm looking for a person either in between jobs, or newly laid off as this is a fulltime job. Again, I must stress that I'm looking for a long term partner and want to build this business up.

Compensation will be a 30% cut of the profits. In the first few months, I will paypal the partner some money to help them along.

This job is definately not for everyone. If you are not fond of building up a company from scratch, or are simply looking for a part time or short term job, again please do not waste my time or yours.

PM me your resume, and PHONE NUMBER. I will answer all PM's and will call a few back.

How much money will you be putting into advertising and what type (ppc etc.)? How many clients do you currently have? Is this a cPanel/WHM operation or another control panel? I may be interested but I'd like a little more info first. Thanks.

Thanks for questions.

CP, Cpanel/whm.

Clients, only a handful.

Advertising, currently none but will budget for expenses such as advertising.

Again, hopefully the partner has the knowledge and skillset necessary to build up a company. I have supplied the foundation, and will supply the funding.

Hmm... I'm not sure entirely... but I don't think you can limit the age. (legally).

I've seen it around, so I'm not sure... eh, Oh well. Good luck :)

panb, I see your point.

But in this case, I'm not so much limiting by age as i am by experience. A good college/university background would be great, as well as 2+ yrs of full-time work experience is a bonus.

I would be willing to help you, but I am only 22 and have about 1 year of real hands on.

But I have Gone through college and have studied very hard on system and network administration. I also run a out-sourced Server and Network/ technical support company.

I also live in Eastern part of Ontario Canada.

30% of the profit for doing all the work doesn't sound to fair.

BogdanM` / nationalhost : I see your point, but please take the following into consideration.

30% for main sys admin, 20% for secondary tech helper, 50% for myself.

Out of my 50% of the profits, pretty much the entire amount will be reinvested right back into the company as I already have a full time job that pays me well enough.

Seems to me that if you are talking about "30%" of profits you would need to define "profit".
All the money you receive would be Total Sales. Minus any expenses. The money you "reinvest" in either advertising, more servers or other "stuff" would also be expenses. Including the "secondary tech helper". So it sounds like you are willing to give 100% of profit to the main sys admin, but you plan on this being 30% or so of Gross Profit, right?
How much time would you say you invest currently every week? How many clients and what is your Current monthly billing, Expense and "profit"? As the main sys admin would you allow us to choose the "secondary tech helper"?

Revenue - expenses = profits

30% goes to admin
20% goes to helper(s)
50% goes to myself, which will be reinvested

Expenses: Servers, software (ex. modernbill, etc), bandwidth, advertising...

If you are interested, or meet my requirements, please PM me. I'll give more detailed info there.

Still looking for someone. Must fit the guidelines:

"I'm looking for a mature (25+) administrator that has had some real experience at some other webhosting company. Person *MUST* be located in Western Canada and/or United States, no exceptions.

I'm looking for a person either in between jobs, or newly laid off as this is a fulltime job. Again, I must stress that I'm looking for a long term partner and want to build this business up."

Please do not waste my time if you are 17. Please do not waste my time if you have no idea how to develop a business, or cannot RUN a webhosting company by yourself.

Ideally, I'm looking for someone that has lots of time, or has been laidoff. Looking to keep the work within the western Canada/USA because I will be calling quite often and don't want to rack up big tele bills.
