Hi all,

this question is about a problem some of our visitors experience when using Internet Explorer 6 browser to navigate in a section of our website hosted at ServerMatrix. The url in question is: ://evermoreworld.com/eurasiabooks .While the page renders normally in Mozilla Firefox, when visiting with Internet Explorer you only get a blank page. You can still view the source of the page normally though through IE6 menu.

Do you think it is an apache 2 issue? because the same files when uploaded to a different server (apache 1.3 w/ linux @ FastHosts UK -://eurasiabooks.gr), they display correct!

Im clueless here, could you please point me to any direction to solve this?

PS - When the page loads, it loads with a weird charset - despite the fact that I have specified the one I want to use in the source code through "<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-7">", what could be the problem here?

Thanks a lot if you are reading this!

I would be grateful for any help

Well, IE is simply put NOT the best browser in the world,
its standards compliance really blows to say the least.

However i had no problem viewing you page in IE6, and
the same with Firefox, so it is a bit hard to say what the problem
is. These are always the most difficult problems when it works
fine for some, and others not, the good old "but it works on my computer!" ;)

As for apache i dont know since ive never used it. But i think
it is highly possible that that is where the problem resides.

But i'll make a dive on msdn and google and see what i can find out.

Also, the users that had problems, they wouldnt happen to be
on a Mac would they ? I can got one at the office and can take a
look there.

Hey there Firefrog!

I did what turned out to be the most cost-effective solution: opened a ticket in my customer support portal @ Server Matrix. After 20 minutes it was all set and it now works like a charm! :D

Big shouts to the planet technicians.

And many thanks for your support man, really appreciated!

Hehe, yea, SM staff will never let you down! Best damn support
people out there. Got a machine there myself and they always
come through with flying colors :D

Btw, just for the record if someone else reads this post
with a similar problem, what was the problem they fixed ?
