You might want to explain what you exactly want to know.. JayC 07-27-2004, 07:42 PM How do you find out what any intangible is worth? If you're selling it, you find a buyer -- and it's "worth" whatever they're willing to pay. If you're buying, it's worth whatever you want to pay. There are companies and people who will give you an appraisal, but it'll by no means be definitive. In the end, a domain name is worth whatever the market decides it's worth. Bashar 07-28-2004, 02:21 AM exactly, can't determine the exact value of a domain because it might worth $10 to some ppl and $10,000 to the right person but some generic or traffic names might be appraisal'able based on experience in the market. sbdquinten 07-28-2004, 06:40 AM so the whole appraisal stuff can be forgotten??? It's kind of luck then I guess... FanCube 07-28-2004, 06:45 AM If you have a specific domain can you get some opinions at the appraisal forum here at WHT, it’s located at http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=54 of cause can the price you in the end get for the domain be far away from the response you got from the appraisal forum but you will at least get some opinions. sbdquinten 07-28-2004, 06:48 AM thanks! I'll try right away! Regards, SBDQuinten FanCube 07-28-2004, 06:50 AM Originally posted by sbdquinten so the whole appraisal stuff can be forgotten??? It's kind of luck then I guess... Selling domains is about luck and experience. People selling many domains will have a very good idea about what kind of price they should expect for a domain but in the end, as mentioned, it’s all about what the buyer is willing to pay. |
