Ive heard mixed reviews, you may want to do a search on them.

DedicatedHosting.com offers servers at a very nice price but they are unmanaged. If you ask them for managed servers which I think you would want they will send you to http://www.hostpro.com. If I were you I would check into http://www.rackspace.com. They are a little steep on the prices but you will get the best support in the industry.

DedicatedHosting.com is excellent if you are looking to get an Unmanaged Server. If you want a managed box then forget dedicathosting.com. I have two boxes with them and so far it has been great. I have had no downtime and I get the best rates a month. I used to be a Rackspace customer and they overcharged me.

Don't be alarmed ;) There are many representatives from hosting companies here, and they abide by our strict advertising rules - http://www.webhostlink.com/index.php?action=forum-rules so you won't have selling tactics shoved down your throat. Otherwise they face my wrath (and quite a few know about it...)

Actually Louis, you find that although there are many hosts here (including Charles), they really do try to offer helpful advice and recommend their own personal favorites. In many cases, they were once hosted themselves before going into web hosting, so they've "been there, done that".

Heres what I dont understand at dedicatedhosting.com, their specials page lists the exact same features of two plans, one is priced at 199.00 a month the other is 299.00 a month, the only difference between the two plans that I can see is that one has 64mb ram and the higher one has 128mb ram.

Come on, I can buy a 64mb ram stick for what now, 89.00 that's a huge profit for nothing, it takes all of 15 minutes to install an extra stick of mem how do they justify charging an extra hundred bucks a month for that.

I am seriously lookign for a ded server solution, and seeing that price difference just knocked DedicatedHosting.com right off the list of possible solutions.

I have used them for about 2 months and had no problems!

Their support is excellent and 24/7. A couple of times my machine went down (my fault heh heh) and they rebooted my machine for me ... no problem.

Their connection is fast and they give mass bandwidth (100gigs/mo transfer) And their pricing is excellent.

Also their sales guys work with you on customizing your quote with them.

But as someone mentioned they are completely unmanaged so if you have no admin experience or have do not have someone on your team who does, they might not be the solution for you ;(

(note: I am not sure what cbaker17 is referring to but I have not seen a negative review on them yet, perhaps he can point us in the right direction?)

To reply to ones above thread about me. Yes I am in sales for cheapservers.net, but had you looked around you would have seen, that I actually recomend our competitors. Sure I hope that some people may take a look at our company, but I abide with all forum rules, and should I do advertise it is always in the appropriate forum. You will see that 90% of everyone here owns their own hosting company or works for one.

Many of us spend a large amount of time here helping people, truthfully if I was here to advertise only I could go elsewhere and get a much better return for my time and money. I am here to assist people because I enjoy the people in this industry.

Im sure it perturbs many when you throw out a rant like that. Try next time to be more friendly if you have a prob. with something someone is doing contact a moderator.
