I was wondering, can anyone who uses HelpCenter Live or Crafty Syntax Live Help tell me how much bandwidth they take up. Do they take up more bandwidth then paid live chat solutions?

We're talking about sending text back and forth. Any of these solutions should use minimal bandwidth. I would be suprised if a chat session used more than 100 bytes per second.

I don't think there's a difference between the paid and free live chat solutions in terms of bandwidth they use. We're talking about text here...Now features are a whole different story. They should be the determining factor when choosing a software package.
