Hello People,

I am thinking of applying for a Protx A/C:

They will allow e to have upto 300 Transaction Per Quarter for a Fix Rate of £10.00 per Month.

Ofcourse this would mean that I would require a "Ecomerce Merchant Number",

I have decided to go with LIOYDS in regards to this:

a) Because I already hold an Account with them
b) The sales person said they are the best bank in regards to this

Protx told me Payment would be uploaded @ 2:00 am each day and that it would be in my account within 3 days.

Any how, I was wondering what do you thik of Protx? Are tehy any good. I will be selling computer systems valued @ £500 - £1500 per transaction so I don't want a company that would die on me after a week..

Any advice please?

how much is the Lloyds account costing you out of interest? hsbc wanted about £25 a month i think.

(re: protx, i've not dealt with them myself but had them recommended several times. i understand they're very good).

Lloyds said £25.00 per Month, 3% on CC and 0.50p on DC. Also they said £350.00 Setup FEE.

What do HSBC Charge?

I know you mentioned that you will be selling hardware, but just in case I wanted to make you aware that the Lloyds TSB Card Net does not allow Web services i.e hosting.

Any sales person that doesn't promote their own product won't be a sales person for much longer ;)

Personally I have had a bad experience with Lloyds TSB Cardnet and would advise you look at other merchant facilities.

Protx is what Lloyds advise us to go with too... plus it intergrates with our cart software. (not my main site but another).
