Is it important for people who want cheap domain names to be able to pay with paypal?

Of course better to have it than not you would say and I agree. but if it would mean manual registration and more work for the reseller, its a question of cost too.

Would you pay more to be able to pay by paypal? (doesnt affect you if you want to pay with cc...) or isn't it worth the trouble, noone would buy that...?

yes, but the problem is that it will cost more. I am afraid they would think it is a trick to pay a little more..

see comments I got in this forum:

I am thinking maybe if something else is added noone would see it like that.. hehe.. beginning to learn maybe..

the forum I mentioned is good for advises on business related things. they are experienced in marketing. :) I recommend it to others who may need it.

Hi,

I use both 2CheckOut.com and PayPal. However I really prefer 2CheckOut over PayPal.

To use 2CheckOut.com, I can completely automate the sign up process. After the payment, the sign up parameters (total, card order ID, etc..) can pass back to my website for further processing.

However, I have no idea if PayPal can do the same.

Best regards

sure, paypal can do that :)
I think they have one free and one premium service and the free one says you should have the other oen since its not 100% or something..

For webhosting, use an automoated payout plan like modernbill which automates the paypal process

Paypal is a good option however the fee to the merchant is much more than a normal Credit Card Transaction

Paypal is a good alternative for a lot of people who, for various reasons, do not have a credit or debit card (or don't want to use one) to pay for their domain. I think it is a good move to accept both credit cards AND PayPal.

It is a good strategy to put offer them both. Do not know the amount of fraud on paypal since I am aware that credit card fraud pretty high.

Fraud rate on paypal (in my experience) is much lower than credit card.
Most people who have paypal also have a card so there is no great benefit, except that there are afew people who go looking for services they can pay out of their paypal account as they have income that goes into it.
