What are the alternatives to WorldPay if you are a non-US based business?

Worldpay is charging over 4% in process fee which is a little bit to much in my point of view... But that could be because I'm a a stingy fellow ;)

Between 2-3 % is more what I consider to be fair...

Where are you based? Most banks in developed countries will offer you a merchant solution.

I'm in Sweden and there are som solutions here but the setup cost i usually around USD 1000 + , and the transaction fee is at least 3.6 %

So overall - it is more expensive than Worldpay..

And as we have a 25 % sales tax - it means I will actually have to pay 5% transaction fee when it is 4% as i have to pay the transaction on the total amount...

Just had a look at paysystems.com and it seems to be interesting. Do you know if they are included as a module in Modernbill or any other billing software?

Cheers

Paysystems are good merchant provider both for US and non US web sites.

I can also reccomend Regsoft.com. They accept international vendors.

We use them for 2 years. We never had a problems. But you can not rely on their fraud check. You must run your own.

Seems they are taking US and European customers only:

"Note that myPaySystems is currently accepting applications for US based and European merchants only and does not offer its services to merchants in the following market segments: adult sites, Internet casinos, pyramid sales, lottery tickets, cash advances, alcohol, firearms and illegal drugs."

I have tried several and have found Paypal to be the most reliable. They cover a huge International base..... you would have to check to see if you would be on their support list of International accounts acceptance. There not many refusals but I understand that a few nations are not accepted at this time.
