is that "virtual server" really a "virtual server"???

it's prolly a reseller account. on a true virtual server, you are able to install most of the stuff you want.

Doesn't sound very virtual server-ish. What software are you looking to install that he is saying can't be installed (not that it matters, just wondering).

i was just asking "can i install software on the virtual server?" because i doubt that a virtual server could be that cheap

They aren't lying to you, I don't know what he's offering, but it isn't what I'd call a 'traditional VPS' (if there is such a thing, per se).

I have seen some hosts calling their virtual hosting -> virtual server.

Maybe this guy is thinking the same thing.

It must be a shared account. Virtual Servers are not used in the same context as Private Server or Virtual Dedicated Server.
