mryowler 01-14-2002, 02:27 AM That's what this guy is offerring.
Yep. You read that correctly. Three dollars per hour.
Not a typo, not a mistake; $3.
He even says that he got someone for "2.5$".
Do I need to say anything more?
SimonMc 01-14-2002, 05:35 AM Mr Howler...thats what script kiddies who sit in their bedroom playing at super hacker earn. I saw your previous email where you pretend to be well known in security circles and I fell off my chair laughing when I saw this.
http://www.geocities.com/custardpage/links.htm
How to hack hotmail accounts. Im sure with your credentials of dishonesty you will have no problem finding work. And a script kiddie at that. Well Mr Howler...I challenge you to hack my website. Lets see your script kiddie skills in action. Prove your security expertise. Put your money where your mouth is. Oh..and its not ilegal to hack my website...because I am inviting you to come and do it.
Fond regards

mryowler 01-14-2002, 06:01 AM Assuming that I had the need to prove something to you, and assuming that I even engaged in this sort of thing - and assuming that it were even your website - you do not have the authority to authority empower me to audit Geocities. Assuming that I penetrated Geocities, or just this account, it would prove nothing about you, in any case, since you did not set up the security that you are suggesting that I attack. You have, in fact, only succeeded only in proving my point; love me or hate me, they do at least know who I am.
Is this your response to an honest critique of your business model? Personal insults, and a childish challenge? Are you even of legal age to participate in a legal contract?

Yes it is.
I believe you started the personal insults.
I made it my business to authenticate your boast as being a "security expert". All I found was your "hackers handle" on loads of forums. I expect we will be hearing a lot more from you here will we. I think it is only correct that people can see who you are before they entertain employing you. Entertain being the correct word as I myself have not laughed so much in such a long time. Im sure if I gave you the shell password to my site you would not even know how to type it in. "$3.00 an hour script kiddies of the world unite"...I still think you should change your handle to Mr Howler...it suits your personality much better. Im really looking forward to your response.

mryowler 01-14-2002, 08:04 AM Well, I find it hard to beleive that you managed a successful web search on my name, since you have yet to spell it correctly.
In any event, I did not claim to be a "security expert"; I claimed to be well-known - as, indeed, your research proves out. I allow the fact that people come to me, on the subject, for advice, interviews, papers, and publications, to speak for itself. I might ask what you have done, besides come up with a bad idea, take constructive criticism poorly, and behave rudely and childishly - but, in fact, I no longer care. You could have credentials issued by God himself, at this point, and I still would not want to do business with you.
On top of a thick head, a bad idea, and a lack of credentials, you apparently also have a comprehension or memory problem. I'd speculate about the extend of the mental deficiency, but that would be getting personal, and I see no need to descend to your level. I think that people on the forum are perceptive enough to draw their own conclusions.
