I have noticed a few mentions of http://www.whthost.com/

Now I can't see how it is affiliated with WHT..... Just wanted to be sure that iNET were aware of it as well... They would appear to be using the 'WHT' name illegally.

Is "WHT" trademarked?

I don't see any mention of "WebHostingTalk" on the site, so "WHT" could technically stand for anything. After all, there is WHT.com .net .org .us .info .biz and they are not iNet sites either. At least not yet. ;)

I do think there is probably an intentional reference meant, and I think the owner is a member here, but I don't think there is anything malicious intended, nor do I think there is anything illegal.

I know one, heh, host who has a graphic on his site "as represent on webhostingtalk.com" not "WHT" but webhostingtalk.com... whats your point? I would never do that personally but its not like its a lie.

WHT nor webhostingtalk are trademarked nor do i belive any iNet properties are.

www.uspto.gov <--- updated weekly and shows registered and pending.

It may be immoral, but not illegal.

They would just argue that their WHTHost stood for, for example, Wet Haired Tramp Host.

whthost was registered in March this year and the owner is a WHT member (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/member.php?s=&action=getinfo&userid=65811) since around the same time. If he was posting 100 times a day, I would say he was 100% trying to get business on a vague association with WHT but that doesn't seem to be the case.
