I have had a great 7 months with them. They have only had about 25 minutes or so of downtime since the year began i believe.

I don't use their support much, so i can't vouch for that, but their network is great.

so far so good for us, nearly 2 years for us at TP and SM.

I had only RHE related issues which now seem to be overcome, at least for the P4 servers.

10 Months and cannot be happier with them. Great bunch of people that really seem to care which is hard to find with a large company usually.

I've been with them for about 11 months now and so far my experience has been quite positive. Since I managed my own servers, I did not consult their support team enough. The machines they provided were above par and have not seen broken down so cannot say much about their recovery team.

They have really good prices so basically you cannot go wrong with them.

Of course if you are one requiring a lot of support then from what I understand, they can be slow at times in that avenue.

If you require a lot of help in configuring, optimizing and securing things for the server, you may want to hire outside help. They tend to be faster and cheaper than that from SM since their job specifically is just doing those things.

You use SM support only for things which cannot be done remotely like reboot servers, replace hardware and probably some local troubleshooting.

Great network and hardware

Crap support. I was told 3 different things by 3 different people when trying to do something on my server

Been with SM since Febuary, I got a new server from them last week. Totally fine, a few teething problems due to my stupidity at times but it all came together.

Only about 30min tops of total network dowtime, networks fast over all, supports good when they reply and they tend to get on a more personal level, aka they post on the forums and mingle with general discussion, and laugh at jokes you might make in a ticket. :P

Keeps me happy, great provider and I have every intention of staying with them.

i had a server with TP for 16 months, I can't complain.... their network was fabulous. their tech support was excellent, most tickets answered within 30 mins or less, just like a pizza :)

keep in mind i was (and still am) pretty much clueless when it comes to unix and my depth of knowledge on how to maintain a server is basically running webhostmanager and trying to push the right buttons. when i've run into a problem they've always helped me.

i recently switched to SM a week ago to take advantage of the better pricepoints. i noticed customer service was slower to answer my tickets but they still helped me out free of charge within a reasonable amount of time (6-24 hours depending on the problem), and i am sure their network will be just as good as TP so i'm satisified.

Reboots have been quick, for me... between 12 and 35 minutes depending on the issue. The 35 minute one wasn't a standard button pusher ;) so I give 'em a thumbs-up.

I've been with TP for over a year and still host 5 servers with them. Their service has deteriorated in the last 3-4 months, network outages, they are totally disorganized, 5+ hours to respond to a critical issue (server offline), they can't keep their billing straight (they overcharged me twice although they corrected it after I contacted them), they don't provide itemized invoices, actually they charge your credit card and don't even bother sending a receipt, etc.

support takes 2 days to answer .. which sometimes this answer was wrong ..!

I have six servers and have only had two major problems, one was with a 2.4 GHz celeron with windows, and then another is with a ticket to get ips unblacklisted that has sat for the better part of 1 month and a week... Otherwise, they've been pretty good... They do have some cocky sales reps on the server matrix side though...
