![]() | View Full Version : Is there any domain registration cheaper than www.godaddy.com??? dArT 12-25-2001, 12:27 PM does anyone know of a domain registration that is cheaper than GoDaddy? addaction 12-25-2001, 12:41 PM https://www.stargateinc.com/ $8.85 per year and if you register 2 or more $8 Coronet 12-27-2001, 12:30 PM Be sure to check the quality of that domain hoster before you register, though. TomK 12-27-2001, 09:40 PM I use stargate Inc for a few dozen domains, they are fine with me, I haven't had any problems. TomK addaction 12-27-2001, 10:37 PM We have registered a dozen domains with them and so far it has been a good experience :agree: Kylecool 12-27-2001, 10:46 PM Don't you have to pay GoDaddy for their Tech Support or something? -Kyle H2 12-28-2001, 12:35 AM http://www.joker.com 12 EUR / year for .BIZ and .INFO + discounts if you pay in advance 500 EUR Calintz 12-28-2001, 11:28 AM Yeah I got moonflow.net with them and their control panel is pretty good ^_^, no problems I heard from somewhere there's this company which sell a domain for US6.50 or was it US6.90? It's registered under dotregistrars montini 12-28-2001, 02:55 PM Ehm I just got a spam e-mail from them . hehe It says they sell for 6.95$ ... (reg2c.com) I don't know them I haven't tested them ... I didn't even see their site yet. anyway People, do you think you would risk changing your long tested registrar for another just becuase you pay one $ or two less? just a question ... Manish 12-28-2001, 03:36 PM I've seen lower prices at www.powerpipe.com , but it seems they offer $7.99 if you give them details of 4-5 domains already held by you....check out. That site doesn't even load for me. I wouldn't trust them. ;) -Kyle ASPCode.net 12-28-2001, 04:31 PM This is interesting. Is there a way of knowing if a certain registrar is a opensrs reseller or not? Like a list somewhere of all resellers? Looked breifly at their site but found no such thing. Cause you can then always manage your domain by going direct to manage.opensrs.net even if the registrar you bought the domain with have trouble with their network/boxes. Chicken 12-28-2001, 09:15 PM A good indication is 1) where their name is registered. Sure it isn't fool proof, but more often than not, the domain reseller's name is registered with the registrar they resell for. Imperfect science, I know. Also check the TOS for the registrar. Usually there is... Registration Agreement 1. AGREEMENT. In this Registration Agreement ("Agreement") "you" and "your" refer to each customer, "we", us" and "our" refer to TUCOWS.com Inc. and "Services" refers to the domain name registration provided by us as offered through... Kylecool 12-29-2001, 01:23 AM Yes, that is very good. I am a reseller for a company and the tos is kinda like that. It says I am affiliated with a Registrar. ;) -Kyle servesyr 09-19-2007, 06:34 PM 1and1.com $5.99 for a .com 0-buy-domains.com $1.99 .info and $6.95 for .com Aorozco 09-19-2007, 06:45 PM Domaincentral.com 6.5 with free privacy dynadot.com or domainsite.com Moniker.com is cheaper if u get the Special price for namepros.com members. I suggest go for domaincentral.com and moniker.com Aorozco 09-19-2007, 06:52 PM Domaincentral.com 6.5 with free privacy dynadot.com or domainsite.com Moniker.com is cheaper if u get the Special price for namepros.com members. Some of these cheap registrars offer cheap registration or transfers, but their prices bump for renewals. Should that be the case, be prepared to do multi-year registration if you choose to stray from godaddy. I would have done the same for several domains if I could go back. Don't you have to pay GoDaddy for their Tech Support or something? -Kyle I don't think so at all. I've submitted questions and they usually respond within the next day or so; I believe they even have online chat support if it's urgent and I've yet to receive a bill to recoup what they helped me with. emailhosting 09-20-2007, 10:43 PM I would warn you to not just go with price alone when choosing a registrar. You want to choose one that is going to be around. I had a very unpleasant situation with one registrar which was actually a reseller itself who disappeared overnight. If you value your domain names, choose a good manager (registrar) for them. pravZ 09-21-2007, 07:35 AM Hi, QualiSpace.com provides TLDs at $6.75 and in their higher slab rates goes down to $6.49 and if you want to register just 1 or 2 domains then think prices are higher! Other option could be resellerclub.com Regards, Right Hosting 09-21-2007, 08:58 AM wow this thread is over six year old lol steventay 09-21-2007, 02:54 PM moniker price where have lower than domaincentral? my price is around 7 for moniker domain.. Aorozco 09-21-2007, 03:08 PM In .net , the normal price for namepros.com members is around 5.49, and is better than anyone but fabulous ( and is a mess get a fabulous account ), then moniker have a decent price for com info and org, and the better to .nets And the actual offer is 5 transfer in .net and 6.85 instead the prices of 6.95 in coms. stub 09-22-2007, 12:14 AM wow this thread is over six year old lol And still only on page 2.
