Yes, you just need to use a dynamic DNS service such as dyndns. We were just discussing this in another thread. :)

Yes. But there are some reliability problems. If your server changed IP, it will take some time to update the DNS, sometimes as long as 30 minutes! During that time your AD server will be inaccessible.

So whats do I have to install now for using a Webserver with a dynamic IP ?

1. Install Win 2k Ad server
2. Install Apache <--- do i need to install apche, or is win 2k Ad server by himself alreadya webserver ?
3. Install www.hn.org

Is this ok ?

I can just restart the server and the IP will have change..

Yes, should be OK. Regarding point #2, that depends on your ad server, you have to consult its documentation. And W2K also comes with a web server, but don't tell anyone I recommended it to you :)

That's the point, if you restart the server, your server will be inaccessible from anywhere between 5 minutes and 30 minutes (or maybe more)

Yes, that's definitely a problem. Your web server is unreachable from the Internet. If your proxy software supports it, you need to forward incoming port 80 from the Internet to your web server.

Just a question? Are we talking about a Windows 2K AD server (as in a banner exchange management type thing) or Windows 2K ADvanced servers? Just wanted to make sure and clear this up...

We are talking about MS Windows 2000 Advanced Server :D

You also need to make sure your ISP is not blocking port 80 on your line. Easy way to check is is while on your server, go to http://www.grc.com and try shields up.
