Anyone else ever heard of Ardent before, or know what their web page is? I'm thinking this is some smaller CLEC or something... but I dunno.

Hey,

You sure you aren't going to lose your shirt? :) Cais (ardent) can be pretty expensive, even for 10mbit. The price is good. I don't remember cais selling 1mbit for $250/mo even when you buy in quantity. We buy bandwidth from yipes! and we could barely sell it that cheap (unless we used cogent).

Ardent sells cheaper when you buy in *huge* quantity (100 of MBPS to 100s of MBPS.) I buy my space from one of ardent's bigger clients, who's willing to sell bandwidth for cheaper than ardent's prices as he gets it cheaper. It's a good deal for both of us, as I have a tech contact to talk to when I have problems that is *very* helpful and I have ardent too. Ardent would flip head over heels for you, if you were a big client of there's so when I have problems it translate to this guy having problem which translates to them fixing it earlier :)

I could probably offer those prices, only problem would be hardware. I've sent him an email, and hope we can ressolve this ASAP.

I'm *not* running off of a cogent pipe, I'm afraid of cogent and made sure I'd go with people who wouldn't give me their "cheap" bandwidth.

Ardent was CAIS.

They tend to provide high quality bandwidth, and I really like em. What other information would you like?
