I recently added a script that enables the playing of streamline radio however it loads mms well but not asx even though it does both. For instance I can hear

but not

http://staging.radio538.nl/media/radio538.asx

except I bring the link up directly in windows media player. Could it be something to do with WMP or something else?

Does your hosting companiy support ASX files?

Well the way the script works is via a link. I do not store the files on my server, the script just makes getting to the radio easier. Example - you click on 'x' link and it loads the power of WMP via browser and playes streamline radio. Understand?

Yes I understand but if your server does not support the ASX file - it does not know what to do with the ASX file. When I tried to open it via Windows Media Player - I received Cannot play the file.

Assuming that your hosting company DOES support ASX files & that is the correct URL, have your verified that the ASX file is correct?

Yes it is correct, because if I load the link from the browser then it loads WMP to play and it plays well - not the link I gave you abovee in particular - but any .asx link.
