I am wanting a host pretty much similar to 2mhost.com accept they seem a bit suss and i have been kicked from them before for a stupid reason. They seem way too paranoid to have a lengthy relationship... So i am wanting a host with the features 2mhost has for around $5/month or $80 annually.

I am currently looking at Aletia, DigitalHost, and Myacen. However i cant choose between them as they all seems worthy.

I am running a general news/rant site, and wanting approx:

100mb
5gb/month +
multiple subdomains with FTP accounts (important)
multiple mySQL
mailboxes optional
ASP optional
FAST
CGI/Perl

One more thing, i am wanting to give webspace to australian clans and small sites with subdomain and ftp accounts. Therefore the reason why am wanting multiple subdomains...

Thanks.

I think your needs outweigh the monthly price and you're going to either have to up that a bit (not entirely sure how much), or more or less find whatever you can for the $5/mo price.

I think you generally should expect to pay around $1.50 - $2.00 per GB of bandwidth needed.

Chicken, does that sound about right?

$5-$6/mo seems to be more of a small personal site price, rather than a multiple FTP/Subdomain 5GB/mo price. This sounds to me (just to me, personal opinion) like a $15-$20/mo. account minimum.

$5/month or $80/annually?

Usually when you pay annually, you get cheaper price.

For what you are asking, I think aletia is good for you.
