Hello!

Is their anyway to create automatic backups in cpanel that can be saved to a remote server? And if doing this, lets say I have a 200GIG hard drive, would it be possible to save 1 100 Gig backup and 9 10 gig backups? Is their a way to partition a hard drive automatically so that I can create multiple remote backups in one place? Thanks, looking forward to your help. Is their anyway to do it with Hsphere too? Ohh yeah recovery must be easy as well.

Also, with backups can you just choose one part of it to back up instead of backing up the whole thing and wasting bandwidth? Thanks!

I am not very familiar with this but i think the best place to question this issue would be at the control panel forums :)

"remote backups in one place" is not the definition of "remote backup". A backup is remote because it is not on the same server, no matter what drive and partition.

I don't think cPanel is able to do remote backups, but WHM can do them. You have only to set up the remote IP, account name and password. Then choosing the frequency and activate the remote backup. Next morning you will have all backups done.

And... Actually cPanel (user end) can do remote backups too... Just not on a scheduled basis.

Ok, thanks for your help, I will have WHM, but I want to trasfer information from different accounts to the same remote server, either on the same hard drives of different hard drives. Thanks!

If you search google their is some scripts for resellers to do remote backups via cron job.
