Ok, I'm sure that I'll get a lot of flack for posting this, but I strongly suggest that we disable the post count abilities in the Lounge forum. The reason why I am suggesting this is simply because people many times post things that lack any sort of importance. It is my opinion that people are just posting this CRAP to increase their post count on this forum and this goes against this forum's objective. This will reduce the posts like what's better pepsi or coke, or if you read this you must reply threads, as they are utterly rediculous. This forum has a lot to offer and I just don't like seeing it being taken advantage of for lack of a better term.

I would welcome a constructive discussion about this.

I agree that we should disable the post counts in the lounge. But I don't think that people will stop posting there. Yes I agree that some people take advantage but not all. So are just there to relax and have a little fun and that is what I think the lounge is all about not some stupid post count.

To me it doesn't matter. I don't even look at the post count anymore. I mean, who cares? It just shows how much time you spend on this board or in Chicken's case, how waren out your keyboard is ;)

I'm just trying to get up to 500 so I can change my title to something..

250 posts looks a little weak. Dont ya think? :D

I agree. My posts in the lounge are definately not worth counting.

I think the post count should be disabled also.

Regardless of what some say, post count are important. As a former new member, I look upon those with high post count, and I consider them important members of the forum who have contributed many posts to the forum.

As I became accqianted with the forum, I realize that a lot of higt-post-counters are very shallow, they posts many useless or "me-too" posts. However, the value of post count is still important: I feel much better taking an offer from a member with 200 posts than one that has only 2 posts.

Besides, getting to 500 posts allow you to have custom title, which is something I am always looking for.

To be fair for those of us who contributed genuinely, post count in lounge forum should be disabled.
