I'm really getting sick of all this!

I'm from the UK.. I'm willing to spend some cash....

I just don't know what to choose.....

I want a billing system that supports a decent CC proccessing company in the UK and in the USA.

So far, I'm tied between ClientExec and WHMAP..

I want something that is simple to use and well designed.. and something that creates a good 'sign up' form.

Any ideas?

Don't know about ClientExec but I use whmAutoPilot and can tell you that pretty soon they are going to release a new version with a load of new features.

From the forum posts one reads queries from UK users and I think that quite a few new payment gateways are being introduced to keep others outside the US happy as well.

I would suggest giving the current version a shot before putting it up live if you want to. They have a trial period, though am not sure how long it is for.

Personally, I am very happy with this product, and just yesterday signed up with varilogix that whmautopilot has recently integrated with to counter card fraud.

for uk hosts, the current version of whmap has apis for woldpay, 2checkout, and paypal. the new version coming out soon has more payment gateway options.

it would be better to buy whmap now so you can avail of current prices and you'd be able to get a free upgrade to version 3 when it comes out.

Here's my opinion having used both products...

Clientexec will be an excellent solution for a small reseller company. However, do you want to think long term? Do you expect and want your business to grow? If so, consider investing your money in modernbill, which far outweighs clientexec on features...and in time it will save you time :)

boeki: yeh I was thinking that.. they will have new prices gaurenteed!

I must admit - Its really a pain in the *** choosing one.

I purchased Mordernbill about a month ago - and I just couldnt stand it!!

Its got TOO much, I didnt know where to start, stop, begin, in the middle or anything!!!

I'm currently now using clientexec - which I got the 25% refugee discount for :D and with the money back from modernbill I brought some good live chat software too.

So 2 for the price of 1.

CLIENT EXEC:
The support is GREAT - MUCH MUCH better than MB's.
The software is no-fuss and easy to navigate and use.
Few bugs, but nothing to bad.

Does what I want it to do - sometimes the simplist solutions are better.

Sorry Hostlab,

But have to disagree with you on clientexec. Yes, it's very simple.
Yes, Modernbill is very complicated. But given some time and patience to get to understand Modernbill, it's an invaluable tool.

There's so much that clientexec doens't do that would cost us time and money on a daily basis.

This is why, personally I hold out that for any small companies it does the job. But when you start hitting the stage where things get "busy", your clientbase outgrows clientexec.

Just my humble little opinion :s

We use modernbill, and it took some time to get used to it and learn how all the features of it work. But now it is brilliant and saves us alot of time in certain places where others simply dont cover.

It is however quite expensive, that would be a serious consideration to take into account.
