has left me with a question, if the above technolgy (or similar products) actually do what they say they do.

What measures are currently in place to stop DoS attacks?
If nothing, as it seems now, why *isn't* the above technology (or similar) being used to protect the network?

Seems like a given to me, but I could well be missing something.
