I can get servers at both of these datacenters quite cheap and x1 are planning on getting another server, all our current servers are with BurstNET and we was thinking to get a server in another datacenter.
Is this a wise idea?
Also with BurstNET downtime atm its anoying my clients.
The planets network is more reliable than burstnet at the minute (especially with burstnet getting DDoS'd what seems to be every other day now), but according to some people support at the planet can be flakey at times (I have yet to see any evidence of this though, all my tickets have been answered in a timely manner)
Having servers in different datacenters is always a good idea for redundancy :)

burst's support seems to take longer than TP's but TP's network is much more stable imho... if you want a really well rounded network and suppot team I would really suggest GNAX

well, I have servers at burst. Support is actually not to my liking, though moderately quick. Reliability is something im not happy with because there is dos attacks every other day, I agree.
Burst phone service is sometimes not operational. (i cant get through and hangs up on me?!) The planet was, actually very good with their system.
The downside.. planet = more money

Good choice, if it is the same price between Burst or TP, definately go with TP ;)

I prefer BurstNet. Because their pings are better from my country. And their support is fast. Burst's pricing is also better but SM has more options like more setup fee, less monthly fee etc. But you can always request a custom quote from Burst.
The only thing I don't like about BURST is their billing. I have serious problems and still trying to make them fix it.

I've found SM/TP hardware to be some of the worst in the industry. Not reliable at all.
Network is fast, but the hardware is iffy.

hmm, BURST billing was perfect for me. just log in and submit a payment and it goes right away to the bank. no waiting for sleepy clerks to fill your info and add one extra 0 :D
