apachedave 07-13-2004, 03:21 AM hi
anyone experienced lypha dot com?
It seems to me a litttle too odd what they offer.
Expecially the offer for the template it always ends the next day....and the next day it ends the next day and...the next day it ends the next day.
Apache
Shaw Networks 07-13-2004, 04:02 AM They're using a script that takes the date, adds 1 to it, and makes that the ending date of the special. It's not a good practice to do, essentially you're lieing to your customers from day one. Not a good way to conduct business.
Dawzz 07-13-2004, 10:23 PM Stay away very far away from them i will share my experience in pm if you want it

Dawzz, we are all interested in knowing about your experiences with this host. So why don't you post it here in this thread instead of using PM which will enable only very few people to know about them.
apachedave 07-14-2004, 01:50 AM Yes,
please share all your comments on here so others can see also
thanks

Dawzz 07-15-2004, 06:01 PM Ok I will try to keep it brief
I signed up with them when they were offering the rollover bonus
(what bandwidth you didn't use built up from month to month).
First week with just a test domain seemed ok.
Started to move clients over and ran into problems with creating packages etc.
They addressed that fast.
Second week server processes load started running into the 30 to 40's (dual xenon server so equaled 4 cpu) http was slow and restarting, email down constantly, ftp down.
12 support tickets over 5 days with no improvement
standard answer everytime " We are lloking into the problem thank you for your patience"
Lost 2 clients due to the unstable hosting enviroment.
The last straw was when they changed their site to remove the rollover bonus.
I emailed billing to ensure that I would still have the same package that I signed up for.
They replied that I would be reduced also.
I emailed back and asked for confirmation that I would be reduced.
They replied yes.
i emailed requesting cancellation of my account (I had signed up with another reseller by that time) and that they email me confirmation fo cancellation as they had a 30 day money back policy.
NO REPLY
No reply to the next 10 emails sent.
Since this was just 2 weeks into it (in fact 13 days I do believe)
and the fact I had used very little bandwidth I had anticipated no problem.
I ended up going to 2checkout about the situation.
They emailed lypha and asked them to address the problem within 72 hours and email both parties to the fact.
4 days later I had to contact 2checkout again (trying to avoid doing a chargeback as it effects 2checkout also).
They refunded me the monies with no problem.
That is the short of my experience with lypha.
Oh let me say that I did in fact get one more email from lypha
saying that the 2 people in billing were mistaken about my reduction, however since billing handles the charges for overages I tend to take them at their word.
apachedave 07-17-2004, 11:46 AM stay away from LYPHA.
a friend of mine signed up and he is still waiting for his money back after 3 months.
ldcdc 07-17-2004, 12:13 PM Thank you for taking time to write the review Dawzz. :agree:
Dawzz 07-17-2004, 12:15 PM Like I said above I had to contact 2checkout and hint to them that I would have no problem doing a chargeback. Did you friend go to 2checkout about it?
They seem to be more than fair and my current hosting company uses them also.
apachedave 07-17-2004, 12:17 PM i odnt know if he contacted 2checkout
i will ask him.

Thats not right if your going to say something shouldn't you give your reasons or not state them at all. You could of pm the person without your comment right??
Dawzz 07-17-2004, 03:33 PM guess you need to read on down some eh
i did post when I had time
Dawzz 07-17-2004, 03:35 PM In fact I couldn't find an edit button for my last reply.
I don't need you to tell me what's right or not if you have no experience with lypha then why bother to reply at all?
I don't troll anyone nor do I expect anyone else to troll me
