Just went to download Mandrake 8.1 but i have to go and buy another HD first.
I was wondering, before grab a copy of it has anyone installed it yet or trialled it? If so i have a few questions:
1) was the installation simple?
2) compared to other OS's (MS + Other Linux) what was the level of success on hardware detection?
3) If you had a high success, did you have any new hardware in the machine, eg, USB, Scanner, 3d Graphics, Webcam, etc... and did it detect them?
4) compared to other installations on the same hardware what was overall system performance and stability like?
And basically any other questions you feel I should have asked.
