Hi

I want to install cPanel but it needs the RHN "update" module. now I can login using my RHN username and click on "buy now", which gives me three entitlements I can choose:

Provisioning Service Entitlement (includes Management)* 0 $192/year for 1 system
Provisioning Service Upgrade (requires Management)* 0 $96/year for 1 system
Management Service Entitlement* 0 $96/year for 1 system

Is it possible to just buy the update module of RHN in order for cPanel to install? Which entitlement should I choose?

Perhaps you should consult the redhat sales department and ask them , themselves ? Or check out their web site, im sure they will have discriptions somewhere.

I'd guess the reason why this person is going for RHEL is because they want the support that centos doesn't provide.. why else whould they be paying for a product when they can get it free ?

The up2date service redhat is not free, but if you Linux ES is legal, you need register system to RHN. After you can use update module.

Yes I know, I bought 1 system which I can subscribe to the base channel.

This is a 2nd system that I installed using the same cd-rom's, but I can't subscribe it to any channel cause that would exceed my entitlements. So I can buy new entitlements but I only need the update module. That I can't seem to buy...

Go to RHN and register news system (IP), after pay to RH.
