View Full Version : VPS at this price, anyone tried em yet?
omarshiraz 07-10-2004, 06:26 PM I was looking at reyox:
20GB Space
500GB Bandwidth
$40/Month
(I am not allowed to post urls so i can say their URL, just search for Reyox Communications LLC)
I read a scam or something about them in these forum but the posts were a year old so i was wondering. Has anyone tried them? Any bad experiences? any good ones?
Note: Please do not say anything about scam etc, because i just read the 9page topic and my eyes hurt (lol), i just wanna know if anyone has had any experience with them. Ive been keeping them on a watch using siteuptime.com and they have had 100% uptime and that all that i really need!
By the way im new here :D so hi!
Glanhosts 07-10-2004, 06:35 PM http://www.hosthideout.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9360

Funny. You know nothing about them, but you know enough to have read fraud claims and just dismiss them? Who shops for a host and dismisses fraud claims? Regardless of when it happened?
omarshiraz 07-10-2004, 06:53 PM I did not just dismiss them, and ouch....any info on them was atleast 1 year old....
and i saw this:
hostsearch.com/showcomment.asp?companycode=7896
Personal Comment: Luv ur sig man! Its so funny.

Go with them man. :)
I just know that if I read what you did (and I know the deal and what happened regarding it), I wouldn't even need to take the time to open a thread to ask about them. That would have been enough to just push me to the Dinix's, Servint's, etc.. around here who do not have such past.
omarshiraz 07-10-2004, 07:21 PM Thnx m8 but every1 makes mistakes...there are things im not proud of either but its personal site that takes too much (family home vids etc) so i cant afford anything better anyway! Nonetheless i wanna know about em!
Well alright, im wondering anyone here have any recent experience with them?

Yep, with a red flag like that, there's plenty of other suppliers, so why risk it? :)
Shaw Networks 07-10-2004, 07:33 PM Give jvds a PM I regard him as tops in the VDS hosting field.
omarshiraz 07-10-2004, 07:43 PM I looked at vpscolor, serverint but guys here is the problem:
Family Website
Needs huge badnwidth since its DVD videos encoded at sometimes DIVX or XVID but usually ranging in 700MB to 4.5GB files. So you see i can afford their prices when i need badnwdith thats actually 500GB!

2uantuM 07-11-2004, 03:37 AM perhaps your family can take advantage of BitTorrent?
SimsFreak 07-11-2004, 03:44 AM Posted: 04-06-04 at 01:57 AM
Is it already 2005?
mulder 07-11-2004, 03:53 AM Host quote doesn't have VPS as one of the options. Shall I just use Dedicated Server?
Knogle 07-11-2004, 03:57 AM That's the next closest thing, so give it a try. :)
The Kid 07-27-2004, 12:19 PM a bit costy though but hey its worth it. more goodies in the WHM and much funner. But you must make sure if ur running a webhost company you will take the responsibilities of it as well...
omarshiraz 07-27-2004, 02:39 PM Im thinking of buying a low end dedicated server and yes i thought about bittorent...i cant seen a 700MB file for loooong time as they are all the way in india and download around 56Kb/S
NickTooms 07-27-2004, 03:14 PM looks like young company, be careful you can get huge overselling package.
omarshiraz 07-27-2004, 04:09 PM Oh yah! Theyr overselling...no doubt about it. I am worried about uptime.....well no hard trying em for a month or so and if anything does happen ill end up buying a small box in hong kong or sumtin.
kb9tyc 07-27-2004, 09:14 PM If you email servint I am sure they will build you a package to serve your needs.
omarshiraz 07-27-2004, 11:27 PM $129 for 500GB bandwidth is the plan i was looking at but too much money.....and i doubt they will give me it at a max of $70, also for $129 i could buy a server from angelnetworkz.net dont u think?
