The contest looks great. However, a prize of lifetime hosting is a bit awkward, considering a majority of contributors will be hosts.

Also the newegg voucher isnt that helpfull for people from the uk:(

Kerry Jones

Oh Ok SWR. I don't want the lifetime hosting. I would rather have the $300 newegg voucher if I win. Unless the hosting is a Dedicated Server thats a 2.6 GHz with 1GB and 1200 GB bandwidth with Cpanel. :D

This sounds really interesting, so I'm submitting one of my articles.

This reminds me of the movie "Rat Race" when the italian guy says "I hope I wiiiin" :D

But nevertheless, it's a really good idea coming from iNet

One thing that dosent seem to have been answered is what happens if some one from the Uk is the 1st runner up? Im guessing we will efectivly be given a useless $300 voucher?

We haven't forgotten. However, we will have to postpone the end of the contest once again due to sponsorship obligations.

:spiny:

I'm sorry everyone, but if it's any consolation, I believe that all WHT members who planned on entering have already submitted their articles.

I'll let you know once judging begins. It won't be too much longer.

Thank you all for your patience.:peace:

I just wanted to make a suggestion for when you do contests. Maybe instead of offering free hosting (as many of us are hosts) you should offer free site design?

Damm i only just saw this :( would have liked to write some stuff, not even botered about prizes.

Well, as we're in the feedback board, WHT should have a section (even if it's just a sub-section in here) for announcements only so that people can subscribe and don't miss stuff like this.

Oh well, mabye next time :)

Hotscripts.com members also entered the contest. For most of them a lifetime of free hosting would be perfect. But for most WHT members, I think that $300 New Egg gift certificate sounds even more appealing.

So here's what we'll do...the first place prize winner will have the choice to take either the $300 New Egg gift certificate or the lifetime free hosting. And the 2nd place winner will get the other.

In regards to offering free site design, I think that's a great idea.
We have some awesome templates on eDEVcafe that we can offer.

Also, if anyone has suggestions or ideas for upcoming contests and/or prizes, we'd love to here 'em. Thanks!:peace:
