Due to rapid growth and expansion, 1-800-HOSTING is hiring a Manager of Tech Support/Senior Engineer. Candidates need to be self starters, disciplined and very reliable. The available position is fast paced, dynamic and highly demanding. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential for this position.

Individuals must have at least two (2) years of Management/Senior Engineer experience within the web hosting industry.

This position is based from our facilities located in Dallas, Texas.

General Requirements:
-High level trouble shooting and problem solving skills (Linux/Windows).
-Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
-Ability to independently research issues and locate solutions.
-Ability to recruit, train, manage and motivate others.
-Network & datacenter expansion planning & implementation
-Excellent PC based hardware skills

Unix Technologies:
-RedHat Linux
-Fedora Linux
-FreeBSD
-DNS
-Apache
-MySQL
-SendMail
-PHP
-FTP
-SSL
-Commercial Control Panel experience helpful.

Windows Technologies:
-Windows Server 2000 & 2003
-IIS
-FTP
-MS SQL
-Imail
-FrontPage Server extensions

Responsibilities:
-Recruit, train, manage and motivate a staff of 10+ technicians.
-Work closely with Senior Management regarding planning & implementation of network & datacenter facilities expansion, and resource tools development.
-Present professional and positive interface to staff & customers.
-Coordinate technical support resolutions for Linux and Windows servers, offer educational assistance, provide status updates.
-Collaborate with different departments to oblige requests.
-Manage relationships in pre- and post-sales efforts.
-Initiate tracking as well as maintain correspondence and issue updates with the necessary tools available.
-Escalate issues as needed to higher level.
