I have FlashMX, as part of Macromedia StudioMX, and I was thinking that I should be able to use it to create Flash Tutorials. Is that true, or do I need something else to do that? I have bought a number of Flash Tutorials and would like some more that are more custom, but would find it better to just do them myself. If you can't create them with Flash, then what is the most economical way to generate them?

Hi,
There are special programs you can use to make flash tutorials. Such as Camtasio or Robodemo from macromedia. There are some other free ones but theres are quite costly. They are worth it thought. Im not sure if you could make it with flash programs but you probably could it would just take longer.

9-% of the flash tutorials you see are created by prgrams that "record" whats the on screen. Then when they save the file they save it as a flash file so it can be viewed on web sites easily.

I've used Camtasia from Techsmith numerous times over the past couple of years, for exactly that, Flash tutorials, can highly recommend it!

You can do it in Flash alone but you need to assemble a bunch of screen captures on the timeline then add text to the timeline along with transitions between captures. It is much more work than using the programs mentioned above. I have a template made in Swish (Flash Alternative for Windows). You can use a template and just change things as needed.
