I've been with HostRocket for probably around 7 months so far.

And lately there support stinks. (In my opinion)

If you goto my site

www.teen-reality.com/breathe

It will foward to teenreality.com/breathe and therefore leading me to a 404 page.

I asked them to fix this a month ago and they still haven't gotten to it. When I bring it up to them they just reply back saying "Oh, we are looking into this problem"

I figuring since its not the index.html of my page having a foward script, then it might be with the setup or .htaccess.

Can this be that hard to fix??? I mean a month time of fixing this problem?

Also, I mass-emailed my visitors a announcement and they suspended my account. I said I didn't know about this and Agreed with them to not to mass-email again. Now if you check out my site, it is forbidden and they suspended it. They did not tell me prior notice nor how long tis going to be suspended for.

--------
I'm not trying to make them look like a bad host, but the reputation this forum has of them is to overrated.

HostRocket is a good host, but I'm sure other sites could easily compete and are very similar to HostRocket and just dont quite understand why HostRocket sticks out so much here.

Hi,

Your account was suspended for mass emailing yes, which is against our TOS. You did not get prior notice of the suspension because we did not have prior notice of the mass emailing.

Your index.html page in your breathe folder, was forwarding your visitors to another page. We dont provide html support generally to our customers, but I took the liberty of putting up an alternate index.html file at your /breathe/ location which fixed the problem immediatly. The problem had nothing to do with anything that was setup by hostrocket or any misconfigurations on our part. Let me know if you have any more problems with your hosting. bbrader@hostrocket.com

Hello:

The 403 error was because my acocunt was suspended. (its not suspended no more so you could now take a look at what I mean)

No, it does not have anything to do with the index.html in my breathe folder.

If you goto:

http://www.teen-reality.com/breathe
it will foward you to
http://www.teenreality.com/breathe and therefore causing a 404 error.

Now if you goto:
http://www.teen-reality.com/breathe/
(with the foward slash at the end) it will goto the right page and no 404 error will appear.

Also to prove that this has nothing to do with any html coding,
all my sub directories does it.

I just use the folder /breathe/ as an example.

Goto http://www.teen-reality.com/members/anthony
and it will foward you to
http://www.teenreality.com/members/anthony

So this does have something to do w/ a server issue.

I've known HTML for 3 years now and I would know if its a html problem.

Hmm, did you originally order your account under the other name? It looks like the teen-reality.com isnt your main domain but the other one is, which would probably cause that. If that is the case you need to mention that you had the domain parked on the other in the ticket and that you use it as your main domain now, that will get it fixed.

Hmm, tanger.
One question for you.
Couldn't you post this under HR support forum?

I thought there were rules about hosts giving support in these forums. I cannot find this in the rules but I was under the impression that this was the case.

If the moderators want to step in and stop it I certainly won't be offended but im not gonna just not answer him if he asks a question or requests help from us.
