The DeskPRO support system www.deskpro.com v1.1.0 has now been released. New features for this version include:
- Technicians can be given permissions to only work in certain categories
- Email interface is now avaliable using standard POP3 mail accounts. Saves the need to have PHP running in binary mode.
- Mass deletion, closure and set as not awaiting reply possible from ticket display. (all based on tech permissions)
- Emails can be sent by technicians through DeskPRO. These can either be normal emails or emails that are then tracked through DeskPRO with the replies showing up in the DeskPRO system.
- Tickets can now be deleted
- Tickets can be set as not awaiting reply without replying to them
- Category ordering is now in place
- You can set individual new and reply notification settings for each email using the email interface
- You can now require online registration before users can use the email interface
- You can set categories as not selectable by the user
- Users can now reopen their tickets (this is an admin option)
- More customizable display of tickets on the user login page
- Tech password is now hidden from admin display
- A mixture of html and normal display is possible in the knowledgebase through the use of and tags.
- If a technician has not set any choosen categories then viewing tickets in their own categories will be ignored instead of returning no tickets at all
- Improved page spanning of tickets display
- Admins can now change users passwords for them
- Knowledgebase categories can now be ordered for display
- A completly rewritten admin manual
- A technicians' calendar is now avaliable for each technician
- Technicians can set ticket reminders to remind them to return to a ticket in a set number of days. Linked with calendar
- Technicians can now edit todo entries and todo entries now form part of the calendar
- New look front tech page including more ticket information links as well as information about emails awaiting reply and that months calendar entries
