Anyone here running RH 7.2? Can you please check /var/log/lastlog and tell me the size of this file.

I just installed 7.2 this last weekend and my lastlog file is already over 19 MB. This seems abnormal to me, especially since my messages file is only a few thousand k. It doesn't appear to be a text file, and the only way I know to access the data contained within is to use the lastlog command which doesn't seem explain why the file is so large. On my RH 7.0 system, this file is < 400k, and it has been running for months.

Mine too is 19136220 bytes..
Actually this is 18 MB....
( try ls -la -h /var/log/lastlog )
There is nothing wrong with it....
