Today, Champion Host — which also offers web design — employs about 15 people and continues to add between 200 and 300 new accounts every month.

He must be joking

This company is such a scam and run by liars. 15 employees. For those in that area, try to visit the "Headquarters". Webdesign? They have stolen from at least 5 different web sites. And it wasn't just images, but whole layouts.

Also, for those that remember, check out the next issue (I think it was June's) and all the negetive press WHM got for that. They even replied they were sorry and said they would do more research next time. They know Championhost is a scam. I would love to be able to attach an attachment to that "News".

They have 15 employees now?

Unfortunately it seems that they haven't hired any web designer at all, seeing as they tend to copy other sites.

Aha! So that's the article that got my friend signing up for Championhost. Now she says she has so many headaches trying to contact them and has actually PAID me to fix things with Championhost.

Anybody knows how I can cancel her account with them? They don't reply to emails.

Now, I'm just gonna look for a new adult host for her so her site won't go to waste.

If she paid for a year, she may be out of luck. If she's paying monthly and they won't stopped charging her credit card after you have canceled the account then have her call the credit card company and either report the card stolen or just explain the situation and have them change the number. Luckily, I got a new card about 3 months after I joined Champion Host so I didn't have to worry about Igor charging me (which I'm sure he tried even though he wouldn't let me use the account and I made it very clear to cancel it).

Would her site happen to be fan fiction or fandom-related? If it is, I might be able to help you with a web host.

Reading that article, I notcied they were in IL. I have no idea where Wheeling is(of course two years ago I relized we were west, not south of chicago). Anyhow notice the part on his datacenter:

Even serious blizzards are rare. Only one plowed through the area this year, dumping a foot-plus of snow and creating minor hassles along the way. The area around Amburg's data center in northwest suburban Prospect Heights briefly lost power after the storm. But a backup generator — a must for hosts anywhere — kept his servers up and running without a hiccup.

Well, I was heavily search for a Datacenter over the summer, and I never heard of that one, so after looking, I relized his datacenter, is at rackspace. Not a huge suprise. Anyhow, I think someone should REALLY contact rackspace I mean, these people just got it comming to them.

Yes, her site is fanfiction related, although there are explicit adult content (NC-17 fics by other people).

I'm interested in other hosting services. I have another web design client up and I might need to look for other hosts that would suit his needs. It's also a content-driven site.
