Is there a ticket system that is already integrated with cPanel? I've been looking into integrating PHP Support Tickets, but I rather not unless I have to ^_^

I've been looking into integrating PHP Support Tickets, but I rather not unless I have to ^_^ Arsalan 07-08-2004, 01:58 PM Not that I know off, but you could simply link any system by editing cPanel's theme. outkast 07-08-2004, 01:58 PM I think cPanel PRO is free and adds a ticket system. All you do is register your server's IP and install cPanel PRO. Arsalan 07-08-2004, 02:05 PM cPanel PRO is available at ?? outkast 07-08-2004, 02:06 PM http://pro.cpanel.net/ BudWay 07-08-2004, 02:08 PM I due not recommend using cpanel pro as your support ticket system. It's on DEV. stages and if your server breaks because of cpanel pro cpanel will only fix if you are a cpanel developer. Again this is in Developer (Beta) stages, and I due not recommend this tool at this point. Arsalan 07-08-2004, 02:31 PM outkast, thanks for the URL. BudWay, thanks for the warning.. :) now i won't rush to install it as i usually install softwares on layer1.cpanel.net.. Imago 07-09-2004, 02:15 AM Kayako seems to be a good solution http://www.kayako.com/?_a=products&_m=esupport.features SimsFreak 07-09-2004, 02:40 AM Let's not forget about xPanel! http://www.xpanel.org/ case 07-09-2004, 03:15 AM First of all, CPanel Pro does not include a ticketing system. It simply allows you to pipe emails to a ticketing system (actually anywhere you want), or to specific email address. I think its actually a great idea. Alot of information can be passed to your ticketing system eliminating extra work. Features i like include: Display the customer's domain name in the body./subject Display the hostname of the server in the body./subject Display the customer's username in the body./subject You can even use this type of information with a tool like rrd to track support trends with users and servers. I think if you could pass a little more information like "subject/department" and stages such as "not important/critical" it would be perfect. It also centralizes were users must go for their domain. If they can do everything from one control panel... i personally believe you have made things simpler for your customer. Arsalan 07-09-2004, 06:12 AM case, Correct me if I am wrong, but cant you add the domain, hostname and e-mail using a small php script placed in the themes of cpanel linked to a support system? Similarly, piping mail is not a new feature, you can even do it on cpanel based systems. case 07-09-2004, 10:15 AM im sure you can, this is a basic feature. And piping emails is something you do with just about every mta out there. Mark_TVI 07-09-2004, 10:30 AM The only downside to using CPanel to pipe email that I can see is if there is a problem on that particular server your clients could lose the ability to submit a support request. I agree it's good in theory but I've never been in favor of billing systems and control panels with integrated support... |
