Hmm..I suppose you can make logos/banners? I know that, when I used it ages ago, I created a simple animated gif but that's about it. I suggest maybe downloading some trial versions of Photoshop or some other programs? Maybe even try The Gimp program?

Here are some links that may be of some help to you:

I would spring for a cheap version of adobe illustrator 9 - you can make some very nice logos in their with it :)

Thanks for the links chic. I also have Fireworks MX 2004 and Animation Shop 3 so I dont know if either of those would be better. And logotutorial thanks for the suggestion but I just spent money on Studio MX 2004 academic version and dont have a lot of cash right now..........Thanks for the links. Will look into them!

I've heard some good things of Fireworks MX but I don't use it, touched it once and didn't really need it.

Work with whatever is comfortable and easiest for you...every program has a different learning curve..

Good Luck! :)

Fireworks is the superior vector program for Web imagery. Photoshop is the superior program for bitmap editing. Illustrator is the superior program for vector drawing for print. (All IMO, of course :) ) It all depends on what you want to do.
...programs don't make graphics...designers make graphics...
Very true. A novice designer with Macromedia Studio 2004MX and Adobe Studio CS at his/her disposal will make much worse visual design than a highly skilled conceptual designer/illustrator using MS Paint.

Okay i guess I will get to know both of them very well then after your little designers make graphics things.
