Zion, both are different companies by different users (hostsale0704 and hostsale2004).

Regarding this bidding, i do believe it is overated, since monthly profit is around $550 only, paying $8000 for it is bit over the head (14-15 months of profit, when most companies here go for 5-10 months of profit), but than i must say hostsale0704's hosting website is neatly designed and worth somewhere between $500-800 bucks itself, anyway still i wont be paying $8000 for this, but someone is and i wish him and the hostslae0704 goodluck for it.

Thats not how a business is sold. You can sell for several methods, and its all in the eye of the seller and buyer. A typical sale though can be from 6-10 x the MONTHLY REVENUE or 4-6 x ANNUAL CASH FLOW (ie profit) . Sales for cash flow however usually take place only in larger size business, say 2+ million .

I am new here. Please forgive my harshness, but this supposed sale has so far been a disaster. Neither the buyers (at least some) nor the seller can get through to each other.

I would imagine that the seller should be more proactive in finding a more reliable channel of communication than a mailhost that "was down on the 12th" (and whatever other problems it might be experiencing).

I am looking for a turn-key solution to get into web hosting. But this thread does leave you wondering about the seller's intentions. Based on drwhiz's comments such "market testing" is common here? So, is it worth time to screen such offers in this forum?

I have no question on our intentions here, no waters being tested. As for the email, I BCC me on emails and I get every email that is sent.

Maybe it should be the buyers that are questioned for the lack of movement and not the sellers?
