View Full Version : Dailyhosting.net?
Plexi_Hosting 07-07-2004, 11:36 AM When I search for dailyhosting.net all I see are their offers and a plea for help getting customers.
Does anybody have any experience with them, specifically their reseller packages?
They are a small company, possibly a one-man show, new (uptime lists from 5/1/2004 but whois shows 5/2003 creation), but the pre-sale questions have been answered in a timely manner.
I just wanted to float this company by the experts here to see if anybody had any hands-on experience with them.
Lubby 07-07-2004, 11:41 AM Well you are on the right track doing a search, keep sending presales questions and maybe at different times of the day to see their replies. Also maybe see if they offer a trial period. Good luck.
NeoGen 07-07-2004, 12:11 PM You may also check following:
Ping their site - check and compare ping statistics
Try to know how many servers do they have
Check alexa ranking
Search Google/Yahoo - you may bump across some feedback at other forums
Send pre sales questions
Plexi_Hosting 07-07-2004, 12:16 PM Thanks hometownhosting and Harsha! I am following advice from both of you. Also, using your advice on you for a coupla days, hometownhosting, have been sending you pre-sales questions. Harsha, I am also considering DDI Hosting which (if I remember correctly) you decided on. So this is like one big happy family! :)
ldcdc 07-07-2004, 12:50 PM Ping their site - check and compare ping statisticsThat will give some results, but pings are not a good measure of actual speed.
Check alexa rankingThat can be too easily inflated. Besides, it only shows how popular a site is and it's not a measure of service quality.

I am not saying that alexa ranking should be the only choice..
But it can help you in your first cut selection. For eg, if came across any host that has alexa ranking of 2,222,555. I will think thrice before considering that host further.
8inet-Johnathan 07-07-2004, 04:41 PM looks like they only have one server, and that one server could get very slow if they over sell the server

That spooked me and I went with somebody else. I think it would still be helpful for others if a current customer would post their experience, though.
dailyhosting 08-04-2004, 11:13 AM Hello, i am the owner of dailyhosting.net, yes when these messages were posted it was only me, we are slowly growing and now have hired staff to answer tech support for when im not available.
We do currently have 1 server and are soon going to be purchasing another one, we strictly believe that connection and speed is the key and overselling the server isnt a good idea.
Chris.
NeoGen 08-04-2004, 11:29 AM Everybody makes a small start to grow!
Wish you all the best Chris.
dailyhosting 08-04-2004, 11:31 AM thanks :)
Plexi_Hosting 08-04-2004, 11:42 AM and I should have added that, spooked as I was, I ended up unhappy with my other choice too! Dailyhosting seems to be growing nicely and is very responsive and sincere still.
ZoneServ.com 08-04-2004, 11:46 AM From my first view, they seem very proffesional.
The site loads amazingly fast, sounds like a great deal to me.
Good luck,
Gil.
Lubby 08-04-2004, 12:07 PM Buscemi who did you end up going with?
Plexi_Hosting 08-04-2004, 12:09 PM I'm going to have to keep that offline for now unfortunately until all issues are resolved.
