I am wondering if there is a good way to test FTP performance.
We suspect that the host we are with has some problem with their FTP software and that it's dropping connections. We're wondering if there is any good software out there to test this sort of thing.
Like something that connects, downloads, and then disconnects. Counting how many times in times out, gets dropped, get the files, can't connect because of timeout during login, file transfer stopped. And we'd like it to do the same sort of thing for uploading.
Is there software that does that sort of thing? (Oh yeah, it should also return times on how long it took to do each step.)
Thanks so much!
