Hello, all -
I have a client for whom I'm investigationg solutions for streaming audio and video on his site. The streaming will be to feature "models" on the site, and having them publish their content on the site. I'm very happy with the Windows Media Encoder solution, and it works great for high bandwidth customers. However, the difficulty with this project lies in trying to accomidate for dialup customers, as well.
As I've said, putting audio and video in the same stream for broadband customers works out very well. But I haven't been able to find the right balance b/t audio and video quality that is suitable for dialup customers. I've been using the Windows Media Audio and Video codecs, but I am looking at other possibilities with other codecs. The only reason for using the Windows Media Encoder solution is because of ease of use.
All that aside, I'd be willing to consider other solutions that are as easy as this to configure, not for me, but for my clients.
If anyone has had any experience with this issue, I would greatly appreciate some feedback.
Thanks in advance
