View Full Version : Iracks financial problems :(
ZB-JOHAN 07-06-2004, 07:35 AM How about the problems with finance in Iracks? Since all theirlicenses from Cpanel are deactivated by Cpanel?
http://layer1.cpanel.net/verify/ind...ip=82.192.78.10
82.192.78.10 using package IRACKS-INTERNAL and is licensed though: iRacks (active on: 2003-11-06 18:12:27, group: iRacks) and is expired/deactived by cPanel Billing Dept [billing@cpanel.net] for non-payment.
This is even the problem with Easydedicated licenses bought trough Iracks:
193.151.73.40 using package IRACKS-INTERNAL and is licensed though: iRacks (active on: 2004-05-21 08:05:56, group: InterXS) and is expired/deactived by cPanel Billing Dept [billing@cpanel.net] for non-payment.
This happens now with all Iracks licenses... maybe someone can explain ?
Bashar 07-06-2004, 07:45 AM move to other provider, seems they are not paying cpanel!
i recommend dragon.com i have 3 licenses with them and so happy :)
ZB-JOHAN 07-06-2004, 07:51 AM Lucky me, i am not their customer ;)
We do however do the system management for some Iracks and EasyDedicated customers, since both provide the systems standard unmanaged and with the oldest software standard install you can imagine ;)
When we noticed the cpanel problem we informed our clients and checked the problem, we found then out it is a financial problem with Cpanel.
Does Cpanel provide emergency licenses? anything that we can do to help our clients on this servers?
We have backups and can get servers online fast with Cpanel licenses, if needed we will provide our clients this temporary solution!
nickn 07-06-2004, 08:00 AM cPanel will provide emergency licenses if you email billing@cpanel.net usually. They did with the BurstNET situation.

Off topic, but you seem to be a real class act. I know alot of companies that would just leave the clients in the dust.
As for the emergency licences, they do provide them. billing@cpanel.net, as nickn said. They respond fairly quickly - Be sure to include emergency in the email title.
a.harris 07-06-2004, 12:55 PM We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. This issue has now been resolved.

All our unmanaged servers come with a 4.9 or 4.10 minimal installation. Almost 0 software comes pre-installed with it so I do not understand how you can say this is the oldest software imaginable.
cPanel servers are installed as standard and then upgraded to latest Stable release manually.
phactor 07-06-2004, 02:36 PM so what was the problem with the licenses?
a.harris 07-06-2004, 03:03 PM There were a few difficulties in arrangements. I am afraid as I am sure you can understand, I cannot disclose any further details.
oldunis 07-06-2004, 06:30 PM seems fine now...
Mirage-ISP 07-07-2004, 08:21 AM Sh*T, what do you mean about "Iracks financial troubles"? We are about to buy a 42U from them in the Netherlands. Does anyone know more about that?
trelane 07-07-2004, 08:47 AM Not that I am defending iRacks, but sometimes things like this happen, and it does not mean that they are in financial trouble. It could have been a billing dispute, or something like that. Before jumping to conclusions, you might ask them for an explanation.
Mirage-ISP 07-07-2004, 10:57 AM Oh naturally QuickPacket. I've spoken with Adam before and he sounded like a great guy.
ZB-JOHAN 07-08-2004, 05:05 AM The reply from Cpanel as follows:
Thank you for the reply. If a license is expired/deactivated and it appears in the verify as "non-payment", then it is safe to assume that it was expired/deactivated for non-payment. Generally, if a license is expired/deactivated for another reason, it will just say that it was expired/deactivated and provide the date/time and who it was expired/deactivated by. Please feel free to let me know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
Lucky we where able to help our clients by asking Cpanel for temporary licenses and this was resolved quickly ! :)
Now the issue between Cpanel and Iracks seems over, but i will try to convince my clients to go for another party nevertheless, since there was already that Issue with LINKUP where Adam never spoke about any more (long downtime, they had to move from suite to another suite).
Since there are more parties in the Netherlands with the same pricing as Iracks it should not be a big problems for my clients to change "home".
